Alabama's Riley Green is crossing over from country music to television and making his acting debut in a new show on CBS.

Green will play a character named Garrett on the "Yellowstone" spinoff, "Marshals." The 37-year-old Jacksonville native and "Worst Way" singer will guest-star in multiple episodes, playing a former Navy SEAL.

"Marshals" follows the life of Kayce Dutton, who has left the Yellowstone ranch to take a position with the U.S. Marshals Service.

Riley previously stated he would like to dabble in acting, and according to "Variety," he was pleased with his first experience.

"This is my first go around in the acting space and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to this world," he told the magazine.

The new series premieres on March 1.
