Candidate for Attorney General Katherine Robertson is continuing to garner endorsements from law enforcement officials and organizations across the state.
This week, Robertson announced that she has gained the support of both Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade and Calera Police Chief David Hyche.
"Katherine has been a good friend to this office and played an instrumental role in the passage of the Deputy Brad Johnson Act," said Wade. "She is the law enforcement candidate in this race and has my full support to be our next Attorney General."
Hyhce also praised Robertson's experience and impact on the state.
"I've had the privilege of working with Katherine Robertson for over a decade, and it's clear that she shows up every day with one goal: to make Alabama a safer place," Hyche stated.
"Under her leadership, the Attorney General's office played a key role in the opioid lawsuit, which brought critical funding to our city," he added. "Those funds allowed us to create an impactful school program we call Calera Accountability and Success through Education (CASE). The CASE program is focused on mental health, drug abuse prevention, online safety and vape cessation."
"I'm proud to call Katherine a friend, and I wholeheartedly support her candidacy for Attorney General," Hyche concluded.
The two men join a growing list of officials and organizations who have endorsed Robertson, including:
- Mason Byrum, Sheriff of Dale County
- Phil Sims, Sheriff of Marshall County
- The Republican Attorneys General Association
- Clay Morris, Police Chief of Pell City
