Hoover is a city like no other — a place where families put down roots, businesses thrive, and children receive a first-class education that sets them apart. As a longtime resident and advocate for our community, I believe Hoover’s future lies in strengthening our schools and guiding growth with purpose that is intentional and, most importantly, impactful.
Our schools are the heartbeat of Hoover, consistently ranking among Alabama’s best. For several years, I have worked directly with Hoover schools, engaging students through hands-on STEM programs that spark curiosity in science, technology, engineering and math. By conducting drone demonstrations, I’ve showcased what drones can achieve in the technology sphere, inspiring students to explore innovative career paths and embrace the possibilities of a fast-changing world. A well-funded education system is essential to sustain these efforts, supporting robust STEM initiatives, arts, and career training.
Beyond academics, our schools should instill a deep pride in Hoover, encouraging graduates to return after college or careers to raise their families here. Investing in innovative resources and dedicated teachers ensures our students succeed and carry a lifelong connection to this community. Strong schools don’t just shape young minds; they shape Hoover’s future, keeping it a destination for families who value education.
Smart development is just as vital. As Hoover grows, we must guide development with purpose and foresight. Haphazard growth strains roads, schools and services, risking the qualities that make Hoover special. I am committed to responsible development that enhances Hoover’s unique character while meeting the demands of our growing population. Strategic planning means aligning new projects with our needs, upgrading infrastructure like roads and utilities to handle expansion without disrupting daily life. For small businesses, it means cutting red tape and fostering opportunities to grow, strengthening our local economy. This approach ensures growth and makes our city better, a place where people want to live, work and stay.
Hoover’s parks, vibrant business districts, and community spirit shine even after a challenging year. But we need consistent and continued transparent leadership to keep it that way. Residents deserve to know what’s happening in City Hall. That’s why I created The Hoover Channel on YouTube, making council meetings accessible and inviting everyone to share ideas. Open government builds trust and ensures Hoover reflects the community’s values.
This isn’t about one person – it’s about our kids, our neighborhoods, and our shared future. By prioritizing education and smart growth, Hoover can remain Alabama’s premier city, where families thrive, businesses prosper, and children dream big.
