U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) received some high praise from former President Donald Trump on Wednesday, along with his “total endorsement” for re-election.
Rogers was first elected in 2003 and will be running for re-election in 2024. Trump commended Rogers for his strong stance on cultural issues and support for “America First” policies.
“Congressman Mike Rogers is doing a fantastic job representing the people of Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “As the first Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee from Alabama, Mike is Rebuilding our Great Military, Fighting Woke Ideology, and Defending our Country.”
Trump continued: “Mike is working hard to Secure our Borders, Champion Religious Liberties, Uphold the Rule of Law, and Protect our Second Amendment. Mike Rogers is a respected, America First Conservative, and he has my Complete and Total Endorsement.”
Three other people have announced their candidacy for District 3, according to Ballotpedia: Barron Rae Bevels, Bryan Newell and Nathan Woodring.
