The finishing touches on Samford football's 2023 signing class included a pair of high school players. Safety CJ Douglas of Leeds High and wide receiver Brendan Jenkins were the lone players signed on Wednesday.

Overall, Samford coach Chris Hatcher added 17 players to a team coming off the best season in school history. Samford finished 11-2 overall, won the Southern Conference outright and advanced to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals.
