Morgan Wallen’s Sand in My Boots Music Festival was a success in May, bringing 40,000 people to Gulf Shores on each of the three days.
For festivalgoers, it wasn’t cheap, with tickets ranging from $400 to thousands for VIP experiences. According to Hard Rock Bet, the festival is the most expensive in the United States.
The study ranked the 47 most popular festivals, including Coachella, Stagecoach, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. Results show fans at Alabama’s Sand in My Boots pay an average of $78.75 per hour or an average of $945 per day.
The prices are based on available data, adjusted for inflation and market trends, and including the average duration of the festival.
Hard Rock Bet said the price reflects the “premium experience it delivered across music, atmosphere and organization.”
Gulf Shores residents and business owners agreed in recent surveys, showing the majority wants to see the festival to continue.
AEG Presents manages the festival, previously known as The Hangout Festival.
Coachella, historically considered one of the best musical festivals in the world, was ranked the second most expensive, at $54.08 per hour.
The South Star Festival in Huntsville was ranked 22nd, with an average cost of $9.93 per hour.
