Scott Ortis loaned his State Senate campaign $500,000 on Monday.
Ortis announced last week his 2026 run for the Republican nomination for the State Senate District 15 seat held by State Sen. Dan Roberts (R-Mountain Brook).
The Republican primary election for Senate District 15 will be held on May 19.
Ortis, a political newcomer, began his career teaching in public schools before earning an accelerated pharmacy degree and later completing an MBA and a Master of Public Health at UAB. In 2003, after serving as a pharmacist and health care executive, Ortis founded Solutions Infusion Therapy.
