The man Scottsboro police said shot an officer over the weekend is charged with attempted murder.
Daniel Victor McCarn, 29, was captured after a Blue Alert was issued statewide.
McCarn is accused of shooting at an officer on Saturday, following a police chase. Investigators said it all started with a domestic violence call from Ruth Street.
The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and McCarn fled on foot after crashing his car at the intersection of U.S. Highway 72 and County Park Road.
Multiple agencies joined in an overnight search. They captured the suspect on Sunday on Old Larkinsville Road.
McCarn was booked in the Jackson County Jail.
