The Bay Minette Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred during a large house party.

An officer on patrol heard the shots around 10:20 p.m. as he was patrolling near Daphne Road. The officer saw a person running from a home. The officer attempted to run after the suspect but was unable to catch him.

The officer returned to the scene where he found 21-year-old Dyrontae Booker, of Atmore, with multiple gunshot wounds. Booker was transported to North Baldwin Infirmary, where he died.

The suspect was later identified as Decareus Keywon Mallory Andrews, 28, of Bay Minette. He will be charged with murder upon capture.

Investigators said the shooting was not a random act.
