An Alabama basketball alum-turned SEC Network basketball analyst doesn't think the Crimson Tide's Final Four run is a one-off thing.

According to Richard Hendrix, Alabama basketball will "be a power" in college hoops because head coach Nate Oats is "one of the top coaches in the country."

“[T]o turn it on and to see the style that Nate Oats believes in to get them to the Final Four, it’s just a special feeling for everyone who played there," Hendrix told "The Next Round" of the Tide's first-ever Final Four appearance. "There’s so much joy."

He predicted this wouldn't be the Tide's sole Final Four appearance now that they have locked up Oats for the long term.

"And honestly, I don't think it's over," Hendrix declared. "I think with the extension of Nate Oats, I think they’re going to be back in Final Fours in the near future."

"And Alabama is going to be a power because they have one of the top coaches in the country,” he added.
