Alabama's elected officials were recently evaluated by the conservative grassroots organization Heritage Action on their key votes and sponsorships since the beginning of the current legislative session.

The Yellowhammer State's two senators, U.S. Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) and Katie Britt (R-Montgomery), received mixed scores, with Tuberville earning a 98% rating and Britt a 73% rating from Heritage Action.

Heritage's stated mission "is to fight for conservative policies in Washington, D.C. and in state capitals across the country," adding, "We turn ideas into bills and bills into law."

The Heritage Action Scorecard is the ultimate litmus test for whether conservatives in Congress are in alignment with their campaign promises. The American people elected a majority Republican Congress with clear expectations—this Scorecard shows, in no uncertain terms, lawmakers who are meeting those expectations and those who are falling short,” said Dr. Kevin Roberts, president of Heritage Action.

The organization also listed Tuberville's lifetime score as 89%, while Britt's was at 64%. Compared with the average Senate Republican, Tuberville and Britt both received an 84% rating.
