MONTGOMERY — The Alabama State Senate won the fourth annual Battle of Goat Hill by a 14-4 score over the Alabama State House of Representatives on a brisk Wednesday evening at Montgomery's Riverwalk Stadium.
The Senate jumped out to a 5-0 lead during the top of the first inning and never looked back.
Long-time State Sen. Jabo Waggoner (R-Vestavia Hills) earned MVP honors.
Proceeds from the game went to benefit the Big Oak Ranch and the Tallapoosa Girl's Ranch.
