ORANGE BEACH — Roadways were flooded Sunday after a severe weather system made its way through South Alabama.

In Baldwin County, Orange Beach saw minimal damage with debris in roadways. Floodwaters covered segments of Alabama 182 from Gulf Shores to Perdido Key.

Still, drivers were on roadways and some beachgoers decided to go to the beach despite the double red flags.

“We’re having fun,” said Wyatt from Prattville. “The kids ain’t ever been here, so we brought them here.”

South Baldwin County remains under a flash flood warning.

Emergency officials urge people to stay off the roadways and out of the Gulf.
