On Monday, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) ripped into U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) for displaying the Palestinian flag outside of her office in Washington, D.C., as well as referring to the United States as "they" in the wake of the United States' strikes that have resulted in the killing of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Tlaib wrote on Saturday in reaction to a tweet showing a school in Iran had been hit with a missile in the strikes, which has since been reported as a failed launch by Iran, "Both the U.S. and genocidal Israel doesn't care about the laws. This is who they are."

Outside of Tlaib's office sits a Palestinian flag, as well as a sign on the door that reads, "Boycott Apartheid."

Tuberville, who is running for governor of Alabama, reacted to Tlaib's flag and her describing the nation she represents as "they" by calling on her to "move to the Middle East."

"This is disgusting," he wrote on his campaign X account. "[Tlaib] is somehow an elected representative of the UNITED STATES. She should be PROUDLY displaying the American flag outside of her taxpayer-funded office."

Tuberville added, "If she hates it here so much, she should move to the Middle East."
