Six Jefferson County bingo halls were raided by law enforcement recently.

A spokesperson for Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall confirmed to 1819 News on Thursday that six locations in Jefferson County were shut down. 

According to the spokesperson, the six casinos closed were located at:

  1. 5096 Pinson Valley Road
  2. 1234 Centerpoint Parkway
  3. 5000 Bessemer Super Highway
  4. 121 Patton Avenue
  5. 506 Bessemer Super Highway
  6. 5311 Avenue K

The raids were conducted by agents with the Alabama Attorney General’s Office in coordination with members of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

Marshall’s spokesperson said more details would be provided soon.

Two bingo halls were also raided by the Alabama Attorney General’s Office in April.
