The makeup of the Orange Beach City Council will change after the August 26 municipal election, following years of continuous membership.

Councilman Jeffrey Boyd will step away from the council to run for mayor against incumbent Tony Kennon.

Candidates for all but one council seat are being opposed. Place four Councilman Jeffrey Silvers is running unopposed.

Place one Councilwoman Annette Mitchell will campaign for the place two seat, where she will face Ginger Harrelson and Matt Wilson.

Jack Robertson and Tom Conerly will vie for the place one seat.
