State Sen. Greg Albritton (R-Range) announced this week he is running for re-election for District 22 in the 2026 election.
Albritton is the chairman of the Senate General Fund budget committee.
“I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve the people of District 22,” Albritton said in a statement. “Together, we have made significant strides in improving our communities and managing our state’s resources wisely. I look forward to continuing this work and building a brighter future for Alabama.”
Albritton narrowly missed out on a runoff election for the Republican nomination for Congressional District 2 in the 2024 primary.
Senate District 22 encompasses all of Escambia and Washington Counties and parts of Baldwin and Mobile Counties.
