Several members of Alabama's Republican delegation in Congress were swift to applaud President Donald Trump on Saturday after news broke that the administration had authorized and conducted a military strike on three of Iran's nuclear sites.

The announcement first broke on X, with the president posting a screenshot of a post to Truth Social.

"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan," Trump wrote. "All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.–President Donald J. Trump

Within minutes, federal lawmakers also took to X to praise the strike and echo Trump's call for peace.

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) offered an innocuous recognition of the strike, wishing blessings for the U.S. and its servicemembers.

U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) responded with a terse but definitive statement of approval for the strike.

U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) gave an ebullient stamp of approval on the move, reiterating his consistent support for Trump and disdain for the Iranian regime.

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) also applauded the strike and warned of any potential Iranian retaliation in the region.

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise):

U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Monrovia) condemned Iran for not making a nuclear deal and compelling Trump to strike.

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) joined the chorus voicing support.

U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) offered a different take, as Alabama's only Democratic member of Congress to comment on the strike, claiming Trump's actions were unconstitutional and endangered the country by flirting with an all-out war.

Alabama's state leaders also chimed in, offering support for the Trump administration and its decision to strike.

Gov. kay Ivey shared a message of support for Trump and the armed forces.

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall shared Trump's statement without comment, only displaying an American Flag.

Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth also offered praise for Trump for taking down the perceived threat of Iran.
