U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville) announced his appointments to United States service academies. The 21 students from Alabama’s fifth congressional district will have the opportunity to attend military academies.
“It is my honor to nominate students across the Tennessee Valley to attend our nation’s prestigious service academies,” Strong said. “I am confident that these young men and women will represent North Alabama well and serve our nation with distinction. The Fifth District never fails to produce skilled, patriotic student leaders, and this year’s class is no exception.”
To attend a military academy, students must meet academic, leadership and character standards and be appointed by a member of Congress.
Strong will host an Academy Day in August with military recruiters from each service academy.
