The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation has been called in after the arrest of the Sulligent police chief.
Rick McDaniel, 58, was arrested Thursday evening, but the charges have not been made public.
WCBI reported McDaniel crashed a UTV and then got into an altercation with a family member in the town of Sulligent.
McDaniel was transported to the Fayette County Jail.
The jail’s website did not list the specific charges against McDaniel.
