UPDATE: ALEA confirmed Randy Lee Wade, 57, was taken into custody Saturday, without incident. He is charged with attempted murder, first-degree escape and second-degree theft of property.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), State Bureau of Investigation issued a Blue Alert after a state trooper was injured in Sumter County.
Officials are looking for Randy Lee Wade. Wade was last seen on Nov. 19, around 11:45 p.m. at Alabama Highway 28 & Interstate 20/59 in Livingston, Alabama.
Wade is considered a “dangerous person” and ALEA said he “is believed to be a serious risk to the public.” He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs around 135 pounds.
ALEA did not provide details on the incident.
Blue Alert is activated when a local, state or federal law enforcement officer in Alabama has been killed or seriously injured and the suspected perpetrator is at large.
