The man accused in the July 5 quadruple homicide in a Talladega apartment complex was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Daishawn Tamar Jackson, 28, is charged with capital murder.

Police found the bodies of Querida Flores, Nicholas Keith, Jeffreon Keith and Jamari Evans during a welfare check at an apartment in the 1500 block of Old Shocco Road.

Investigators believe they died of gunshot wounds. The bodies were sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Montgomery.

"This has been a long and coordinated investigation, involving investigators with the Talladega Police Department, Talladega County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, the Talladega County District Attorney's Office, Talladega County Sheriff's Department, Jax State (University) Center for Applied Forensics, the East Alabama Metro Crime Center, and both the ATF and FBI," police stated.

Jackson is being held in the Talladega County Jail with no bond.
