The Daphne Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect in the shooting death of a Taziki’s Mediterranean Café worker.
Travis Lofton, 41, of Mobile, was arrested in the murder of Jason Mallette.
Mallette was shot in the chest when he entered the restaurant Thursday morning, around 5:30 a.m.
Investigators used evidence at the scene, video surveillance and witness statements to determine the suspect was Lofton. Lofton’s wife also works at Taziki’s.
Lofton was booked into the Baldwin County Jail after being arrested by the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office late Thursday.
