The Birmingham Police Department has arrested a 16-year-old male in connection to a Saturday afternoon shooting in the city’s West Precinct.

The teen is charged with capital murder in the death of Myca Clark, Jr., 18, of McCalla.

Clark and another male victim were shot at 2609 Avenue K, in Ensley Park. Clark was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives said the shooting occurred after two groups of males met up at the park.

The suspect is being held in the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
