The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday evening in Chilton County.
A 17-year-old from Montgomery was killed when the 2011 Nissan Altima the teen was driving left the roadway, went down a steep embankment and overturned. The crash site was on Chilton County 16, approximately two miles north of Plantersville.
ALEA said the teen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the deceased being a juvenile, ALEA did not release the identity of the teen.
