What to look for: Will the South Alabama fans show up to root for what could be the most talented and successful team in program history? Reaching 10 wins will be a pretty big deal.
Why to watch: It’s always fun to see how USA offensive coordinator Major Applewhite attacks a defense. The Jaguars have beaten some teams with the pass and others with the run.
Who: Troy vs. Arkansas State
When: Saturday, 2 p.m.
Where: Centennial Bank Stadium, Jonesboro, Arkansas
What to look for: Running back Kimani Vidal and the running game was outstanding last week for Troy. Will that be the way the Trojans attack on Saturday?
Why to watch: Troy can clinch a spot in the Sun Belt championship game for the first time.
Who: Auburn vs. Alabama
When: Saturday, 2:30 p.m.
Where: Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tuscaloosa
What to look for: Auburn will look to unleash the running game. Can the Tigers do that consistently against the Alabama defense?
Why to watch: Bryce Young has the tendency to do big things in big games. One more time to watch him do this in Tuscaloosa.
Who: UAB vs. Louisiana Tech
When: Saturday, 2:30 p.m.
Where: Joe Aillet Stadium, Ruston, Louisiana
What to look for: A big game running the football could push DeWayne McBride back to the top of the national rushing leaders. Louisiana Tech hasn’t been successful at stopping the run this season.
Why to watch: UAB needs one more win to reach bowl eligibility. UAB has not won on the road this season. It shouldn’t be a big crowd but it’s still on the road.
