On Monday morning's episode of Real America's Voice "American Sunrise," former Trump White House official and current U.S. Senate candidate Morgan Murphy addressed the rising likelihood of an attack on Iran to remove the country's Ayatollah.

"Everybody in the region hates him," Murphy told the show's hosts. "Hearing rumors yesterday that Saudi Arabia was saying, if you don't attack, you risk emboldening the regime. So we're actually getting egged on by Iran's neighbors to go in there."

Murphy praised President Donald Trump's response to threats from the Iranian government against both the United States and the Middle Eastern country's citizens.

"Now, I think what the President has done that is so smart is he's laid the conditions for Iran to surrender. He's done exactly to Iran what he did to Venezuela," Murphy argued. "And the whole world was paying attention to Venezuela, right? We sent an entire carrier strike group off the coast of Venezuela for six weeks. We were blowing up, vaporizing what the Democrats call fishing boats, but it was clear what was happening."

He added, "Likewise, it's very clear in the Persian Gulf, we've sent the USS Abraham Lincoln in there, another entire carrier strike group that carries more firepower than most European nations."

Despite numerous warnings from Trump, Murphy believes the Ayatollah has ignored the administration's major demands.

"The President's knocking and he's saying, really hard to Iran," Murphy continued. "You need to stop killing innocent civilians." You can't have nuclear weapons. You need to stop these missile strikes, and you've got to stop your terrorist proxy network across the region, and we'll back off."

"And so far, it doesn't look like the Ayatollah has any plans to listen," he added.
