Mountain Gateway founder Jon Britton Hancock was featured on FNC's "The Ingraham Angle" with Laura Ingraham Friday, explaining how his non-profit is being religiously persecuted in Nicaragua.

The non-profit operates in Latin American countries and has been ministering in Nicaragua for over a decade. However, much of the work was halted after 11 pastors and two attorneys with the organization were arrested by the Nicaraguan government with no official word on charges.

Britton said even he and two of his family members have warrants for arrest, and he was told the charges are money laundering and organized crime.

However, he told Ingraham those charges are bogus.

"They're not basing it on anything," Hancock said. "Like, we haven't seen any charging documents or anything. Really it's a screen, I think, to take away from the fact that they threw a bunch of our people in jail. Pastors."

The arrests were made following a series of events in 2023 in which hundreds of thousands came to worship God.

"There really is a rising pressure for religious persecution and human rights violations," Hancock added. "What got our people in prison was the religious persecution, and what's keeping them in prison is human rights violations."
