Thompson High defensive tackle Peter Woods was unblockable and Moody High receiver Davion Dozier's lone catch was a doozy as the Alabama All-Stars came from behind to pull out a 14-10 win over Mississippi in the 36th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game on Saturday at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile.

Woods, the game's Most Valuable Player, had eight tackles, two sacks and seven tackles for a loss in the third consecutive victory for Alabama in the series. Overall, Alabama leads 25-11.

Mississippi led 10-0, partly thanks to a 52-yard touchdown run by D'Mariun Perteet in the third quarter.

Alabama finally scored a touchdown with just under nine minutes left on a 4-yard run by Hueytown quarterback Earl Woods. The game-winner came at the end of a 79-yard drive that was directed by Briarwood Christian quarterback Christopher Vizzina. Dozier's touchdown came when Vizzina lofted the ball into the left corner, and the 6-foot-4 Dozier went up to grab the 16-yard scoring pass with less than three minutes remaining.

Pinson Valley's TJ Metcalf sealed the win with an interception. Woods rushed for 63  yards, threw for 58 yards, and caught a pair of passes for 25 yards.

Linebacker Suntarine Perkins was the Mississippi MVP. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Ole Miss commit from Raleigh, Miss. had 10 tackles, including three tackles for loss.
