The Hoover Police Department is investigating a tragic scene after a toddler was found inside a home where her parents were deceased.
Police responded to the scene in the 700 block of Highland Court at 9:03 a.m. A family member of the couple discovered the man and woman unresponsive inside the home.
The three-year-old child was at the scene and was unharmed.
Hoover Fire-Medics responded and pronounced the couple dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives believe the homicide was a murder/suicide, and there is no threat to the public.
WBRC 6 News confirmed the woman found dead was former WBRC sports anchor and reporter Christina Chambers. Chambers, an avid runner and talented on-air personality, was born and raised in Cullman. She is remembered as a positive light.
