Topgolf Mobile is set to open on November 17. The venue in the McGowan Park Shopping Center will include a full-service restaurant, private rooms and an outdoor game area.

Mobile Chamber president & CEO Bradley Byrne said he was happy to see Topgolf choose Mobile for its third Alabama location.

“The Mobile Chamber is delighted to see this vibrant addition to our city,” Byrne said. “Topgolf is set to be a lively hub that will attract additional commercial and entertainment prospects to Mobile and create memorable experiences for our citizens and visitors.”

The City of Mobile did what it could to get the location with a $1.25 million incentive. The Mobile County Commission also approved the same incentives for the company.

Topgolf’s other two locations did not get the same kind of direct incentive from the cities of Birmingham and Huntsville. While some taxpayers raised eyebrows over the deal, Mayor Sandy Stimpson stood behind the decision, recognizing Topgolf as an asset to the city.

“Topgolf provides family-friendly entertainment and enhances the quality of life for our citizens,” Stimpson explained. “Whether it’s golf or not golf that you enjoy most, there is something for everyone at this new attraction. We are thrilled to see Topgolf open its doors so Mobilians and visitors can join in on the fun.”

Topgolf Mobile will also create around 200 jobs.

Topgolf Mobile will have 60 hitting bays. It uses Toptracer technology to track golf balls that are hit into the field. There will also be lounge-inspired furniture in each bay.
