With primary races in Alabama now less than two weeks away, President Donald Trump is doubling down on his endorsement of U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) in the state's upcoming GOP U.S. Senate primary.
The two's political relationship dates back more than a decade to Trump's 2016 campaign, when Moore became one of the first elected officials in the country to support the president.
"Barry Moore, running for United States Senate in the GREAT State of Alabama, one of my all-time favorites, is a Fantastic guy and a totally reliable MAGA Warrior," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "He has my Complete and Total Endorsement - He will never let you down. Win, Barry, Win!"
Following Trump's post, Moore issued a social media statement thanking the president.
"Grateful to President Trump for his unwavering support in our race for the U.S. Senate," Moore said. "I’m proud to be the only candidate in this race with the president’s complete and total endorsement. I’ve stood with him since day one, and he’s standing with us as we run through the tape on May 19!"
Grateful to President @realDonaldTrump for his unwavering support in our race for the U.S. Senate!

Moore will be facing off against Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Jared Hudson and Lineville businessman Rodney Walker for the Republican nomination.
Alabama's Republican primary for the U.S. Senate seat is scheduled for May 19, with general elections set for November 3.
