The trial for former Hanceville Police chief Jason Marlin has been pushed back to November 17.

Marlin is among six charged after a Cullman County District Attorney's investigation. He has pleaded not guilty in connection with a corruption case that led to the disbandment of the entire police department. He was indicted on two counts of failure to report an ethics crime and tampering with physical evidence.

Marlin, officers Cody Kelso, Eric Kelso, Jason Wilbanks, William Shellnutt and an officer's wife, Donna Kelso, were indicted on multiple charges

Marlin’s trial was originally scheduled for September 15.

Marlin was the police chief for less than a year when he was indicted. He is considered innocent until proven guilty.
