Trip to Auburn on Sept. 16 highlights the 2023 Samford football schedule

The road to Samford defending its Southern Conference football championship was announced on Friday. Title defense begins and ends on the road and the non-conference slate is highlighted by a trip to Auburn on Sept. 16.

Samford opens the season at Seibert Stadium with a non-conference game against Shorter on Thursday, Aug. 31. Other home games include SoCon visits from Chattanooga, East Tennessee State, Furman and The Citadel. The Bulldogs close the season against UT Martin in a non-conference game at home.

The Bulldogs were 11-2 last season with the lone losses coming at Georgia and in the NCAA FCS quarterfinals at North Dakota State.
