The city of Orange Beach is preparing for Freedom Fest weekend, kicking off October 4.

The festival at The Wharf will include live music, vendors and a Bama Coast Cruisin’ car show.

Each day, veteran groups will be stationed along Wharf Parkway with activities and information. The Kids’ Zone will be next to the Ferris wheel and Huey Helicopter rides will be available.

“Freedom Fest is about America, patriotism and honoring those who went before us and sacrificed for our freedoms and those today trying to protect them, including first responders,” said Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon.

“It’s truly a red, white and blue Americana festival with old-time hot rods, motorcycles and Jeeps and now a gun show to show our support of the Second Amendment,” he added.

Families can enjoy arts and crafts from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Friday or attend a first responder demo by Orange Beach Police and Fire.

On Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., there will be a motorcycle rally and a Jeep rally, including a beach cruise at noon.
