President-elect Donald Trump is considering U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks) for secretary of defense, according to multiple media reports.
Rogers won re-election on Tuesday unopposed. He currently serves as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. He's been a big proponent of funding Ukraine in its war with Russia.
A source familiar with discussions told Fox News Digital that Rogers has been contacted by the Trump transition team. Bloomberg also reported on Thursday that Rogers is under consideration by Trump's transition team for secretary of defense.
A spokesperson for Rogers didn't return a request for comment from 1819 News on Friday.
