U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) joined President Donald Trump in the Oval Office at the White House on Monday to launch new initiatives aimed at helping moms across the nation. Britt was given a lot of time to describe some of the new policies and her role in working with Trump and across his administration to get the policies rolled out.

Trump credited Britt with developing the new policy package.

"I must say, I shouldn't admit this, but the first time I really heard about the fertility was through Katie, and she said, 'Sir, we have to do something,'" Trump stated.

He also reinforced how well they work together as a team.

“She’s the one that got me into this, I have to tell you,” Trump said, adding, “I hope she always remains loyal to me so I can continue to support her,” he said.

“You’ve got it,” Britt replied.

“I would hate to go against her. That will never happen, Katie, right?” the president asked.

“That’s right, sir,” she responded.

Trump then made an off-handed comment referring to his initial endorsement of then-U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks in the U.S. Senate race.

According to the White House, at Monday's event, Trump announced sweeping new initiatives to lower costs for families, expand access to fertility care, and deliver meaningful support for mothers across America. The actions include new federal guidance to encourage employers to provide fertility benefits, the launch of Moms.gov — a user-friendly, one-stop digital hub providing new and expectant mothers with essential resources — and major childcare reforms that increase access and affordability, expand provider choice, and better empower stay-at-home parents.

Britt posted four clips to her X account, speaking to policies that she has worked with the Trump administration to enact.

"Moms are the heartbeat of our families, communities, and country," Britt says in the first video as she speaks to how the Moms.gov policy initiative began.

In the second video, she discusses maternal mortality rates and the crisis facing Alabama.

"Rural states like my home state of Alabama face significant healthcare challenges, specifically access to maternal care. Supporting research to reduce maternal mortality rates and supporting moms throughout their motherhood journeys is a top priority of mine and this Administration’s," she wrote.

In the third video, she discusses her efforts to make childcare more affordable for families.

"The affordability and accessibility of childcare should never an impediment for Americans looking to re-enter the workforce," she wrote. "I was proud to lead efforts in the Working Families @TaxCuts to modernize and multiply childcare tax credits, for the first time since President Reagan’s term, to help address this crisis."

The fourth video includes her explaining that the resources can be found in one spot on Mom.Gov.
