On Tuesday, while taking questions from reporters during a bilateral meeting with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at the White House, President Donald Trump used Alabama football to describe the border crisis under the previous administration.

Trump likened the influx of illegal immigrants daily under President Joe Biden to double that of an Alabama-LSU football game, which he attended in 2019.

"They allowed millions and millions of people to come into our [country]. I mean, you saw it," Trump explained. "They'd open the gates."

"If you took an Alabama-LSU football game that holds 128,000 people, I was there, 128,000 people, and I like them, and they like me. If you took that and doubled it, that's what used to flow into our country on a daily basis," he added.
