The endorsements continue to roll in for U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) in his 2026 run for governor, with the Alabama Associated General Contractors (AGC) being the most recent to back his 2026 gubernatorial bid.

The AGC released its endorsement on Wednesday, praising the former Auburn football coach for his record of prioritizing the state’s construction industry.

“The Alabama Associated General Contractors are proud to endorse Senator Tommy Tuberville for Governor of Alabama," said Billy Norrell, CEO of Alabama AGC. "Coach understands the needs of Alabama’s construction industry and has been an advocate for us in the United States Senate. Alabama AGC looks forward to working with him to continue the strong building environment in Alabama through his pro-business policies.”

Tuberville happily accepted the endorsement for his bid, promising to be a strong partner with President Donald Trump should he take the governor’s seat.

“I am thankful for the support of the Alabama Associated General Contractors,” Tuberville said. “Joe Biden’s bad economic policies made prices go up, which created problems for our construction industry. Thankfully, President Trump is back in the White House and working around the clock to get inflation under control and our economy back on track. As Governor, I will partner with President Trump to get rid of burdensome regulations and usher in the Golden Age of Alabama’s economy.”
