The Trump administration’s investigation into the late Jeffrey Epstein is “ongoing,” according to U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn).

Tuberville told Greg Budell on News Talk 93.1 FM on Tuesday, “You’ve got to remember now, but for the last 4.5 years, the Democrats have been in power and they collected all that data.”

“Do you think that they said, ‘Oh, you know, we lost to the Republicans, all these things that we have here that are probably going to expose a lot of our Democrat colleagues, and people we’ve taken money from, we’re just going to hand it over?’ Heck no, they didn’t do that. There’s no telling how much of that they destroyed,” Tuberville said.

He said only complete information should be released to avoid “conjecture.”

“I don’t know the bottom of this. What I can tell you is, just knowing (FBI Director) Kash Patel and (Attorney General) Pam Bondi, the investigation is ongoing, and you do not want to do things that are going to put you in a bad light as a Republican," Tuberville explained. "But when it is found out, and when we have complete control of what is going on, the American people will see this. President Trump could care less about the Epstein files or whatever, but he’s promised transparency. Again, but we want it the right way. We don't want it to where there's going to be a lot of conjecture to it and things that can be misleading."
