U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) joined Newsmax's "National Report" on Wednesday for a wide-ranging discussion, including Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro and the ongoing "war against drugs" in Latin America.
"It's been going on for 25 years, and people need to understand, they're killing our people every day," Tuberville said. "This is the first president who has said enough is enough. We're going to strike back, and we're doing exactly that. It's a seek and destroy mission."
The senator called Maduro a "communist killer" and noted Venezuela's global reputation for contributing to money laundering and terrorism.
"We want to make sure that Venezuela understands that it's time to shut this off. President Trump is cutting off the head of this snake slowly. But it's not just about drugs," Tuberville argued. "It's about guns and laundering money. It's about the oil they're selling all over the world and using it for Narco terrorism and terrorism with ISIS. People need to understand Venezuela is a central location for people to come to the Western Hemisphere from all over the world and start some kind of creativity towards terrorism against the United States."
Tuberville stressed that Trump will continue personally overseeing Maduro's inevitable abdication.
"So it's time Maduro left. President Trump is bound and determined for that to happen, and this drug intervention, with the blowing up of all these ships, is just the beginning of it," added Tuberville.
