The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg claimed Monday that he was allegedly accidentally included in a group chat with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Vice President J.D. Vance, and other top officials where they discussed strikes against Yemen's Houthi rebels.
The United States is currently bombing Yemen's Houthi Rebels for disrupting trade and threatening U.S. ships. Goldberg said in an Atlantic article that he was invited into a group chat with national security leaders and received prior knowledge of the strikes.
U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told CNN's Manu Raju the group chat was a mistake and that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth would get it corrected.

"Well, it's (a) mistake. You know, we make mistakes. We all make mistakes, and I don't know how it happened. It might have been, you know, a communication problem with somebody in the communications department. But, you know, you can't put just blame on just one person, other than the fact that the person in charge that the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, he'll get it corrected. And you know, that's just part of transition and growing," Tuberville said.
Tuberville replied "no" when asked if there should be a Senate probe on the matter.
"They know something went awry here. You know, it'd be like you being on there and being able to find out what's going on, or anybody, any of us. … I'm sure President Trump has made his voice be known to the Sec Def and the people involved because that's a pretty scary situation," Tuberville told Raju on Monday.
