U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) has raised over $4 million since launching his campaign for governor on May 27.
Tuberville’s fundraising came from more than 2,516 unique donors, 90% of which live in Alabama, with the most support coming from Madison, Jefferson, Lee, Montgomery and Baldwin Counties.
Tuberville's initial haul is a new Alabama fundraising record. The previous record was held by Gov. Kay Ivey's $1.2 million total during the first month of her re-election campaign in 2021. Tuberville so far has not accepted any money from PACs – his support all came from business owners, retirees, entrepreneurs, veterans and workers.
“I am thankful for the outpouring of support we have received from every corner of the Yellowhammer state," Tuberville said. "When Suzanne and I were praying about getting in the race, we knew we wouldn't move forward unless Alabama was on board. But we aren't getting complacent. Like I said when I was coaching, we have to run like we're 10 points behind. I have fought every day to represent Alabama's conservative values in Washington D.C. and will bring that same fight to Montgomery when I'm elected Governor."
