This week, U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) recognized the 12 veterans from Alabama who he honored as "Veterans of the Month" throughout 2024 for their service and contribution to their community.
According to Tuberville, veterans "make our state a better place to call home."
“Alabama is home to more than 400,000 veterans who bravely answered the call to defend our country,” Tuberville said in a statement. “Even though they’re no longer in uniform, they still serve our local communities in remarkable ways. I’ve enjoyed listening to the unique ways that Alabama’s veterans are giving back to their communities. Their efforts make our state a better place to call home. I look forward to continuing to share the stories of Alabama’s heroes in the upcoming year.”
