Former President Donald Trump turned himself in to the authorities in Miami on Tuesday to be arraigned on 37 charges related to the alleged mishandling of classified documents.
Trump pleaded not guilty to the charges, which included 31 alleged violations of the Espionage Act and was released on his own recognizance following a short hearing.
His appearance in Florida drew crowds of supporters, including several who sang to him "Happy Birthday" at a popular Cuban restaurant, Versailles.
Trump later flew to New Jersey to speak at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. In a photo obtained exclusively by 1819 News, he was later seen dining with U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), along with one of his sons, Eric.
Tuberville was absent from the Senate Tuesday, where he was needed to force Vice President Kamala Harris to break a tie vote to confirm Biden-appointee Jared Bernstein as chair of the Council of Economic Advisers.
