Tuscaloosa City Councilman Norman Crow won the House District 63 special election on Tuesday.

Crow defeated Democratic candidate Judith Taylor with 1,107 votes (64%) to Taylor's 610 votes (36%).

Crow will fill the unexpired term of former State Rep. Cynthia Almond (R-Tuscaloosa), who resigned to serve as president of the Alabama Public Service Commission in June.

House District 63 includes portions of Tuscaloosa and Northport.
