It all started after an armed carjacking in Clanton.

According to Carol Robinson, with al.com, the individuals were driving the Charger and an Audi SUV. After being spotted on Interstate 65, the two continued to try and escape police. Meanwhile, other agencies joined in the chase.

The vehicles led police north on I-65, then onto I-459 to I-59/20 before exiting onto Tallapoosa Street in Birmingham.
The Charger pulled over on a sidewalk near 49th Terrace North and 49th Court North, and the driver fled. Meanwhile, the Audi SUV got away.
