Monday, U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) appeared on Newsmax TV's "Rob Schmitt Tonight" to offer viewers an update on Andy Huynh and Alexander Drueke, two U.S. veterans from Alabama captured by Russian forces.

Aderholt appeared alongside Joy Black, Huynh's fiancee, and said he believed Huynh and Drueke were being held in Eastern Ukraine by a separatist group.

"I'm just going to say our heart goes out to Andy's family and, of course, Joy and her family," Aderholt said. "And we're doing everything we can to try to make sure that we reach out to the Ukrainians, to our defense attachés that are over in that region, so that they can do everything they can to bring Andy back. Also, we have another individual, Alex, that's also from Alabama, that's also being held as well. And so you know, we're wanting to bring them back as quickly as possible. We don't have a lot of information, as Joy had mentioned. I have got information that we do think they're being held in the eastern part of Ukraine by a Russian separatist group. But a lot of this still needs to be verified."
