U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.) endorsed Jared Hudson for the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, praising Hudson’s “record of service as a Navy SEAL, his leadership in the fight against human trafficking, and his experience as a small-business owner who understands the challenges facing working families.”

Mullin said in a statement that Alabama needs “a warrior with real-world experience, not another career politician.”

“Jared Hudson has lived a life of service. As a Navy SEAL, he put everything on the line for this country. As the founder of Covenant Rescue Group, he has led the fight against human trafficking. And as a small-business owner, he understands exactly how bad policies out of Washington hurt American families,” Mullin said. “President Trump needs a real warrior who will stand firm and fight for his agenda, not another weak-kneed politician who runs at the first sign of adversity. Jared is that warrior. He is tough, mission-driven, and committed to doing what is right, not what is easy. America does not need more talkers. It needs doers. It needs warriors. And that is Jared Hudson.”

Hudson said he was honored to earn Mullin’s support.

“Senator Mullin is a man who leads with courage and conviction, and I’m grateful for his endorsement,” Hudson said. “Our country is starving for leadership rooted in service, not ego. In the Senate, I’ll fight for Alabama with the same determination I had in the SEAL teams and the same heart I bring to fighting human trafficking and child exploitation. Alabama deserves a warrior who will put our people first, stand with President Trump, stand up for our values, and take the fight to Washington.”
