As a coach, my family and I spent years on the road. We moved every couple of years and traveled most weekends in the fall. When I got the head coaching job at Auburn more than 25 years ago, Suzanne and I knew we had finally found our home. We quickly fell in love with the state, its people, and the Alabama conservative values we all hold dear.

Four years ago, I was humbled to be elected to represent Alabama in the United States Senate. What was true then is still true now – I didn’t come to Washington to make friends; I came to fight for Alabama. I have stood up to the Swamp time and again, even when it meant standing alone. It turns out that radical liberals, the globalist media, and even some RINOs don’t like it very much when you have a backbone. I quickly learned that some simple truths, which are commonsense in Alabama, are foreign in D.C. For example, the Swamp doesn’t like it when you say that men shouldn’t compete in women’s sports or that taxpayer dollars shouldn’t go towards abortions. Under Joe Biden, this kind of insanity almost became normal –  and I was fighting back every step of the way.

Thank God our national nightmare is over and President Trump is back in the White House. I’ve developed strong relationships with Trump and his administration and have also learned a thing or two over the past four years in D.C. For example, I know what levers need to be pulled to deliver wins for Alabama. The president wants to put the power back in the states like our founders intended. For these reasons, I am running for governor of the great state of Alabama. As governor, I will bring Trump’s commonsense policies to Montgomery and put Alabama First. Our state needs a CEO, and I am ready for the job.

As CEO, one of my top priorities will be working with Trump to lower prices, cut taxes, and bring more manufacturing jobs to the Yellowhammer state. Over the past four years, I’ve witnessed Democrats recklessly drive up our national debt, raise taxes on hardworking Alabamians, and ship American jobs overseas. Alabama farmers have been particularly hit hard – and they need a lifeline. Thankfully, Trump is working hard to dig us out of the hole. Right now, in the Senate, I’m focused on delivering on the president’s campaign promises like “No Tax on Overtime” and “No Tax on Social Security.” As your governor, I will work to further reduce taxes, get rid of waste, help our farmers, and make life in Alabama more affordable. I’m also committed to working with Trump to cut red tape and bring manufacturing jobs back to Alabama.

Another top focus of my administration will be keeping Alabamians safe from dangerous illegal immigrants. Under Biden, our borders were wide-open, allowing cartels, murderers, rapists, and deadly drugs to flood into our country unchecked. Thankfully, Trump has already delivered the most secure border in U.S. history. While the border is sealed, we still have to deal with the more than 10 million illegals who came here under Biden. Alabamians should not have to worry about illegal aliens taking their jobs, stealing their benefits, and breaking the law. As governor, I will back the blue, enforce the law, and work with Trump to deport criminals. Under my administration, I will work hard to make sure every Alabamian feels safe in their homes and neighborhoods.

As an educator of 40 years, I know that our kids are the most precious resource we have.  When it comes to education, one-size-fits-all doesn’t work. As governor, I will increase school choice and make sure that parents, not the government, are in charge of their child’s educational future. You can count on me to support charter, magnet, private and homeschools, while also rooting out woke indoctrination – like critical race theory – from our taxpayer-funded schools. Sadly, our schools became ground zero for woke indoctrination under the Biden administration. This anti-American curriculum won’t make its way to Alabama on my watch. While we’re at it, I’ll also make sure men aren’t intruding on women’s spaces and sports. For four years, I have been leading the charge against Democrats’ delusional attempts to erase gender in Washington, and this poisonous ideology will have no home in Alabama when I’m governor.

One thing that won’t change when I get to Montgomery is my commitment to defend Alabama’s conservative values. I took a lot of heat when I stood up to the Biden administration for 11 months over their immoral, taxpayer-funded abortion policy. It made me realize how many politicians say one thing on the campaign trail and then do another after getting elected. Well, I’m not a politician and I’m not afraid to stand up for what’s right. Alabama is a pro-life state and believes, as I do, that every life is sacred and created by God. Forcing taxpayers to pay for abortion is dead wrong. As your governor, I will continue to champion Alabama’s values and fight to protect the most vulnerable among us. I will also keep speaking my mind, even if it means standing alone.

Trump is working hard to put America First, and I want to put Alabama First as your next governor. Just as I’ve done the past four years in D.C., I will continue to protect conservative values, stand up to radical liberals, and put the people of Alabama first. It’s a new dawn in America and, with your help, I’ll fight to make sure the sun shines brightest on our great state of Alabama.
